We have learned that the Ricketts family is looking to buy a large parcel of land in the Dominican Republic to build a new Cubs Academy to develop prospects.

 

On a recent trip to the D.R., which included attending the funeral of Alfonso Soriano's mother, Tom Ricketts scouted potential sites. The plan would give the Cubs one of the best developmental academies in all of Latin America.
