You know, with all the hugs and the crying, it's like some of these guys view this as the END of the journey.

 

It's really the beginning.

 

Kind of like with Benson -- you wonder if some of these guys have the right frame of mind.

 

You're in for a world of hard work and pain if you're going to succeed, kid. Otherwise you'll go down in history as a bust and an embarrassment, high pick or not. I hope you're ready.

it's amazing how the Steelers always pick late but always land a good player.

 

Yeah, It's distressing how much they hit.....on everything, it seems.

Man, the every time a team reached I'm thinking "come on, Carimi!" Can't believe he fell that far.

 

I guess there's something to everybody claiming the Bears are a lucky team. :)

i'm wondering why he fell though

 

The Giants and Chiefs were both supposed to take offensive linemen and neither did. That sent all the offensive linemen down a few picks from where they were supposed to go. In addition, Carimi was always going to be a guy that was going to interest less teams since he's seen as only a RT.

Outside of the Carpenter to Seattle oddity, I don't think Carimi really fell much. From everything I heard he was expected to go somewhere in the 20s.

Packers get the Bears scraps....hehe.

I think the Packers and Bears are going to be good for a long time. This rivalry is about to get super intense, moreso than usual.

meh - we'll both be looking up at the Lions with their defensive line and most especially the Vikings with Ponder.
