Kosuke Fukudome for Aaron Rowand and Brandon Belt?

 

How about then?

 

6 years of Belt under team control will probably be worth more than Rowand's horrific 2012 salary.

 

Then again, why would the Giants give away a top prospect when they need help at the position?

 

I'd do that deal in a heartbeat, but the Giants would laugh at it. I think Belt will be ready by midseason or so this year and will probably push Huff back to the OF at that point.

Given the financial constraints on the team, I can't imagine Hendry came up with this one, let along followed up on it.

 

He may not be that savvy, but even he knows basic math.

 

I totally agree, unless the Giants were tossing in a decent amount of money or there were other players involved.
