I want to see the Bulls bottom 7 play a full season against the bottom 7 of the rest of the league. What would their record be?

20-30 wins. They're good but they benefit from being able to go balls out defensively/energy wise with the short stretches they are in.

Tommy T is a tactical beast, no doubt, though.

You think they're one of the worst 10 benches in the league?

Oh I thought you meant if they had to go up against other starting units as a starting unit. Yeah, they're the best bench in the league.

Talk about hot and cold.....this is Toronto's second half:

-Start the 3rd quarter by making 14 of their first 17 shots.

-Then miss 10 in a row to end the 3rd and start the 4th.

-Then make 11 of their next 13 shots.

Overall 25-40 shooting in the 2nd half (63%)

1 seed is close to locked up at this point

What's the math regarding that after this game?

i don't know exactly, but i know we clinch a higher seed than miami by going 3-3, and a higher seed than boston by going 4-2 (unless we beat boston). that's assuming those teams win all their remaining games

Basically, beat Boston and it's over without a complete meltdown

Yup, if we beat Boston and go 0-5 in our other games, the Heat and Celtics would have to go 5-1 in their other games to finish ahead of the Bulls (The Celtics would win the tiebreaker over Bulls in that scenario by virtue of a better conference record).

Ibaka just one-upped this by erasing a potential blake griffin poster

johnhollinger: Rose Army blowing up my inbox. Didn't see it; Bulls-Raps not on my A list. Will likely move into top 10 PER in tomorrow, possibly up to 7.

With Rose's blocks tonight, he now has more blocks on the year than LeBron James.

That I would not have been able to guess

48 to 46 for those who were curious.

Yep, passed Westbrook, Gasol, Nowitzki and Durant in PER last night to jump to 7th. 6th is Kobe, 5th is CP3. He won't get into the top 3 (James, Howard, Wade), but 4th is feasible if he doesn't have any clunkers in the last 6.

On the down side, that "defensive" performance last night bumped the Bulls to second in defensive efficiency behind Boston.
