He's probably tired.

probably, but it's been going on for so long now. i'm just worried that he lost his mid-range game when he worked on his 3 all summer.

he also seems to be forcing a lot more wild shots while driving this year.

i honestly think a lot of it is just him trying to do a little too much. you heard it all offseaosn from him, how it wa shis team, he wanted the mvp, etc. he has massive expectations on himself and i think at times he tries to take over a little too much and ends up with horrible results.... kind of like kobe does at time. kobe is more consistent though and doesn't have the bad shooting nights this frequently.

Horford is pretty solid but to add to "Lo_Pan_Fan's" point, I think this was Horford's 3rd career 30 point game. He also hit his 2nd 3 pointer of his career tonight. And when he said good teams don't lose these games, I think he meant they don't lose games in which they were up 14-0 and up 17 at half. But with that being said, its not the end of the world. Just one game.

Is rose really shooting worse from the field than his career averages? And now he's making just 35% from 3.

He has the worst FG% of his career now this year. If you want to try to attribute that fully to shooting a ton more 3s, you can look at his eFG%, and see it's below his career average (although not by much). I think the amount that he has to handle the ball is a huge overlooked factor. The past 2 years he had Kirk who could handle the ball some and let him play a little bit off the ball (although he didn't do a lot of that). The only way the Bulls can consistently create offense is through Rose, and that's really wearing on him I think. We NEED a 2 guard who can handle the ball and create his own shot. Bogans sucks, Brewer just runs the baseline or hits a midrange jumper off a pass, and Korver is strictly a spot up shooter. The only person who can create their own shot consistently is Boozer, and he hasn't been doing it lately. I wouldn't mind seeing Watson and Rose out there a little more together. Go small and go with Rose, Watson, Brewer, Deng, and a big or better yet give Deng some rest and go with Rose, Watson, Brewer, and 2 bigs.

also, boozer has been a non-factor for a while now too. he only went 16.5/8.6 in february.

Glad I wasn't the only one to realize this. He's shooting only 69% from the line in that stretch as well.

They're barely running any plays through him, so most of his points are coming off broken plays or garbage buckets. I have no idea why they aren't giving him more touches.

Teams are also daring Rose to shoot jumpers again, which is why his shooting percentage has plumetted. Out of his 16 misses last night, I'd say at least 10 of them were wide open jump shots. Most of the shots he missed were short, which is obviously an indication that he didn't have his legs.

He's never going to admit it, but I'm sure everything that he has done this season is starting to catch up with him.

He is 42 for his last 150 3 point attempts (28% even), covering a span of 33 games.

I feel like tonight's game is huge. Miami is at San Antonio and beating Orlando would help stave them off. Too bad I don't have much faith they'll win in Orlando.
