korver, brewers, and degn were embarrassingly bad. rose was outstanding in the first half but ruined it with an atrocious second half where he just kept tossing up awful shots.

I didn't think most of the shots were that bad...he just had an off night.

 

And christ, when you play him off of Gibson, Brewer, and Bogans simultaneously for long stretches of the game he's going to have to go into Iverson mode. Him and Korver need to develop some chemistry so we can't just shoehorn in him at the end of the game and expect the offense to work.

really taj and noah were the oonly ones who played well. korver, brewer, and deng were comical.

Deng has been soft and will always be soft. Why can't he even try to be physical? One of the nails in the Bulls' coffin was the breakaway he had and decided to try a layup instead of going strong and dunking. If you go for the dunk they almost have to foul you, but Dent went for the layup and got it blocked.

Yeah that was classic Luol. The momentum really turned on the plays where Korver passed up a corner 3 and let the shot clock expire and Deng couldn't finish on that break.

The lack of 2nd or 3rd scoring options is going to be maddening (again). Gibson/Noah will get points off of offensive rebounds, but they aren't guys you design plays for.

That's exactly why you trade for Carmelo. You can always find a guy pretty similar to Noah. Rose is great, but he isn't the guy on a championship team.
