Your Predictions for the 2011 Opening Day Roster

If we get Alex Gordon and he's on the bench behind both Colvin and Overbay, my head may just explode.

 

I don't get it. Alex Gordon has been absolutely terrible in the majors and is now on the wrong side of 25 (27 on opening day). Why other than his draft status should the cubs even look at this guy?

he was pretty good when he came back after being transitioned to the outfield, has all the talent in the world and sustainted some pretty unlucky injuries and bad managing

 

I'd definitely start him over Overbay...Colvin eh i dunno maybe

Overbay is a complete nothing at 1B at this point in his career, with little hope of any upside at all. I start Gordon over him without hesitation of any kind.

 

Gordon's patience alone gets him a nod over Colvin, though this one isn't as big of a deal.
