The Reds were really likable during the 70s...too bad several of those players have retired from baseball to become very unlikable

Not if you were a Cub fan, I hated those guys.

The Cubs were a complete afterthought in the mid 70s...it was very easy to cheer to the Reds(i cheered for the Cubs head to head). Different division, Pete Rose was a hard nosed player, Joe Morgan was a stud, Sparky was a colorful fun manager, they were not the Red Sox, Yankees or Dodgers, and rest of team was really good. I cheered for the Big Red Machine and also the early 70s A's for many of the same reasons.

All I'm hoping for is either the Rays or Rangers to win their series in 3. If it goes to game four, it's going to be a cluster[expletive] trying to get out of the Cowboys game on Sunday with the Rangers hosting a playoff game and the shared parking lots between the two stadiums.

There is no way in hell I am going anywhere near Arlington on Sunday. Vance you might as well an park on Saturday night.

If you wanna re-think that, I currently have an extra ticket to the Cowboys game if you want to join me. If so, let me know quickly, because I'm actively trying to find someone to go.
