As shitty as that was, and as disappointed as I was, I would have taken the 1 point when we were down 3-1. Good job coming back. The shootout is a crapshoot that didnt go our way tonight. Whatever. 4 point playoff cushion...tied with Calgary or Dallas for the 4 seed. We'll probably be around 7th or 8th the next time we take the ice, which I believe isn't until Sunday.

was at this game. stadium was (surprisingly) completely full, and about 50% were hawks fans.

question- was hjalmarsson's penalty at the end of regulation? he was FLIPPING OUT in the penalty box... throwing equipment, smashing his stick on the glass, etc. they only showed one replay in the stadium and it was hard to tell if the puck hit the net.

also, was there a point of the game where a blackhawk player stopped a shot on a wide open net with his stick? it was at the other end of the ice and they never showed a replay, but everybody was wondering wtf happened and how the puck didn't go in.

1st question, I think it hit the top of the glass and bounced back in. I think that means it shouldnt be a penalty. It's only out if it gets to the netting or into the crowd right? The Hawks announcers were pretty convinced it wasn't a penalty.

2nd question, I know the play you are talking about. I believe it was Seabrook that stopped the puck from going in the net with his stick. I assumed that they scored too and was amazed that it didn't get in

oh, and the shootout attempts from st louis and stamkos were awesome. don't act like you wouldn't love it if kane and toews did that.

plus, they weren't really gimmicky. a lot of people do that move now on shootouts and it works a lot. it beat crawford both times tonight, he just got lucky with one hitting the post

that what i was wondering. they only showed the replay once at the stadium and it was hard to tell if the puck hit the top of the glass or the bottom of the net. when i saw the replay it looked like net to me, bu i only saw that one angle.

now that i see the replay, i don't know if that st. louis goal should have counted. you can do the spin move.... but he actually spun, then deked the puck back a little bit so he could lift it

I don't know what the actual rule is, but the puck looked like it was completely stopped while he did his little dance. That means to me his progress toward the net was stopped.

As for Hammer's penalty, completely blown call. The puck clearly hit the glass before going into the netting. They have four officials out there now for a reason.

Frustrating game. Sunday should be fun, but it turns into a must win game. Then have to go home and deal with the Sharks on Monday? This could easily be a four-game losing streak and they could be back in 9th place. That game against Florida was a bad one here.
