Okay, what? Really? What does the organization gain from that lineup?

 

Best lineup on the field? nope

 

Giving ABs to important young players? no

 

Trying to establish trade value for AAAA types? If I thought they had any reasoning this would be it but it's incredibly weak.

 

 

What puts me over the top is Koyie Hill getting PAs over Chirinos and Castillo. I just cant even articulate how confusing this is.

Silva getting abused by Bourn. That's hilarious.

 

My theory on this lineup is that the Cubs are doing their best to be subtle about trying to lose, but they're going for one of those top four picks.

 

Otherwise I can't really explain it.
