In retrospect, purposefully building a team with the worst offense possible was probably a bad idea.

Am I the only one that thinks in general sports teams fire managers too quickly? I thought Wakamatsu had some potential.

dude was only 20 games under with what may just be the worst offensive team in the majors during his tenure... i think he got the short end of he stick; and without knowing anything about his coaching style or really anything about him, i wouldn't be upset to hear his name come up for the Cubs vacancy in the offseason

It's a double edged sword. These guys don't bring much to the table, but they are paid handsomely and treated like geniuses when successful. So if they lose, they are blamed and cut loose.

Darrin Brown use to be an Amarillo Dilla coach, I don't envy him
