The Dealers and Sahx suffered a huge loss today with Youk going on the DL and probably out for the season with a torn muscle in his thumb.

 

I've picked up DeWitt for the week and we'll see how that goes. I'm probably week to week with 3B's.

Kansas City designated Guillen for assignment, so I dropped him, promoted Ka'aihue to my major league roster, and inserted him at utility (where I previously had Guillen). I believe this is a legitimate move because Guillen isn't currently on a major league roster.

With Carlos Pena on the DL, I moved him to the bench (my DL is already full), moved Aubrey Huff to 1B and inserted Dexter Fowler in the OF.

I don't recall a specific ruling on that, but it seems logical to me that you'd be able to since you can bench a player that's injured even if not placed on the DL.

Sorry, I had set the lineup earlier in the week because I knew I wouldn't be online much this weekend. It was only seven starts at the time - I think Latos' start got moved up by a day.

You're right about last year, but for this year we decided some time ago (I believe when Juan was still around) to use separate deadlines for the two drafts. I think that was to ensure that whoever has the worst record for the season gets something.

Yes. We changed it to the trade deadline for both to prevent teams from dumping. However, we decided it was too much to award both #1 picks to the same team unless they truly were the worst team in the league and were in last place at the deadline and at the end of the season.
