the brewers' babip in this game has to be like .900

I'm not sure I have it completely correct but I think it finished at .568. 22 singles seems like an absurd number.

I got free tickets to this game tonight and still had to be talked into going. I should have stayed home.

So I caught the 9th inning on the radio and heard Santo ranting about Milw rubbing it in the Cubs faces and he was getting pretty angry. Said something about Fielder going into 2nd base really hard or something in the 9th inning up 17, is this true or just Ronny pissed off?

He took out DeWitt. Was that the 9th?

lol, the Brewers put up a crooked number in 5 of the last 6 innings of the game. That's hard to do.

Almost as hard as having 4 hits in the game and having them all be doubles.

Yup it was the 9th and Pat and Ron said DeWitt was shook up. If thats the case I really hope someone plunks his fat ass.

I'd rather have a few relievers from our system who actually have some potential getting these innings so they can contribute in the near future.

the problem is, most of the guys i thought had potential to be decent big-league relievers (gaub, stevens, parker) have all been lousy this year, and most of the guys who have been good in iowa have crappy stuff. david cales is the only guy at iowa who seems like a decent relief option right now.

At this point, I'd like to see them bring up Cales and Marcos Mateo. Control might be an issue but you know they have good stuff (unlike, say, Atkins or Coleman).
