Nats/ChiSox/DBacks rumor

Interesting . . .

Rumblings continue to surface about a possible three-team deal involving the Nationals, White Sox and Diamondbacks that would send Edwin Jackson to Washington, Adam Dunn to Chicago and a bunch of young pitchers to Arizona.

For all the "Nats are asking for the moon for Dunn" rumors out there, this would be a really disappointing return if I'm a Washington fan. Jackson's ok, but nowhere near the Floyd/Danks/Beckham type rumors being thrown around.

He just meant 1 of the 3. Its actually mixing trade rumors. the Nationals wanted Beckham plus(probably Hudson) for Dunn. I dont think that Floyd/Danks were ever on the table for Dunn. It was the Brewers who wanted Floyd or Danks for Prince Fielder.

Besides, usually when they say "young pitching" their not talkning about guys like Floyd or Danks, more so Daniel Hudson or the White Sox equivelents of Chris Archer and Trey McNutt types if they have such a thing, and most farm systems have something similar.

Either way, now that Peavys out, and Freddy Garcia is showing signs of coming back to earth, the Sox should think twice before trading any of their starting pitchers.

Yeah, you're right. I forgot the Brewers were rumored to be asking for one or both of Floyd and Danks for Prince. And for Truffle, I didn't mean all three of the players. I was thinking Floyd and Danks were brought up as possible returns (individually, not paired) for Dunn, but it was Beckham and Hudson I believe the Nationals wanted.

A source told ESPNChicago's Bruce Levine that the Nationals appear willing to move Adam Dunn if the White Sox are willing to part with a second quality prospect from a group of Tyler Flowers, Jordan Danks and Brett Morel, along with young right-hander Daniel Hudson.

I guess Kenny Williams shot down the Dunn for Beckham straight up deal. I hope it falls through. I like Adam Dunn. Personally, I think he should stay in Washington and help that team rebuild. But I guess getting a couple of good prospects might do a better job.

Supposedly Dunn is wanting a 4yr 60mil deal. If Im the Sox Id trade Hudson and 1 of those other guys if Dunn would be willing to DH in the near future. Hes been said to not want to DH, and a guy with Dunn's body type Id be leery giving a 4 yr deal to be a full time 1st baseman. If hes willing to DH, Id be a lot more confident in that type of deal.
