Way to let Haren off the hook the last two innings. It is getting really old watching the Cubs not hustle. Ramirez, Fontenot and Silva all in one inning.

All three of them hustled.

I admittedly did not see what the situation was with Fotenot so I don't know, but Aramis certainly did not hustle. He sat in the box and watched a bit before he took off.

Seriously? Aramis was out because the ball bounced right to the RFer and he's not fast to begin with, Fontenot has the 2B basically on top of him and Silva is fat and slow. None of that had to do with "not hustling."

Kaplan used Twitter to take an unprovoked shot at Soriano while whining about not hustling.

BTW, I knew the millisecond that Len mentioned that Upton and Reynolds were both homerless in their career vs the Cubs that they were both going yard today.

Has Theriot even seen 5 pitches through his first three ABs today?

No. 1, 1, and 2 in them

The frustrating thing is Arizona has a terrible bullpen and you would think the players would understand being patient would be the plan for everyone.

Way to have a shutdown inning Carlos.

Aramis didn't put his head down and sprint, but he also didn't stand and watch. Parra playing the ball perfectly off the wall and throwing a perfect strike to the base were much, much more important in Ramirez being out.

Fontenot had Kelly Johnson on top of him, so he couldn't advance. Even then, it might've been difficult because he's sprinting to second with a mind to break up the double play. By the time he gets to his feet and/or sees the ball got away, it might not be enough to get him to 3rd.

Why are you following Kaplan? Who gives a [expletive] what that twit has to say.

silva's command was lousy all day. 60 strikes, 41 balls isn't good enough for him, and 3 walks in 5 innings is a lot worse than normal. obviously with his mediocre stuff he can't be missing his spots like he did today.

Yep. A couple wind blown home runs didn't do much to help his final stat line either.
