Lee and Soto are pretty locked in, Byrd is putting up good at bats and Sori is starting to hit I think we should be in for a good next week of Cubs baseball.

Why don't these stupid [expletive] ever boo Theriot?

Cause he's so gritty and doesn't get paid anything. I just wish Len and Bob would be as hard on him as they are everyone else.

Is Len really hard on anyone? He's pretty good at being diplomatic. Bob, on the other hand, has no issues airing his grievances.

That and Ramirez is due to come out of his prolonged slump (at least BA wise) sometime soon.

True, Bob is the one hammering. I just blame Len for what his partner says. Like an old married couple.

If they're a married couple then Len is the sexy trophy wife.

Oh yeah.

I still think Bob is going to go ape [expletive] on Soriano one of these times when he messes up in the OF. Every time this season he has seemed like he had much more, and harsher words, to say than what he actually did say and he seemed to have caught himself.

Soriano's only hitting because the Astros apparently don't have or believe scouting reports. He still can't hit anything on the outside

He never could. It's silly to act like teams are going to suddenly only pitch him outside when they could have done that all along.

well...why aren't they? they haven't even tried to pitch him away all series despite the fact that all of the first three teams we faced got him out consistently on the same pitch. normally his hot streaks come when he starts laying off that pitch. he wasn't laying off it at any point so far this season. the astros are beyond dumb for pitching him inside so far in this series.

Exactly when Soriano is going well he watching outside pitches and waits for the pitch over the plate. He has looked better vs. outside pitches the past 4 days. I think that is one advantage with putting Soriano in the 6th spot, he is not the person you focus on holding down in this lineup as to when he was leadoff if was one of the first people you looked at in the lineup and came up with a game plan to keep him off base.

Beats me. In theory, Soriano shouldn't have made it more than a couple years, tops, with the obvious flaws in his approach.

What about the Brewers? He was 3 for 7 against them.
