Random question, but when and where does the Hawks plane get back?

WGN said it gets in around 2:30 am.

i mentioned the possibility of this (apprehensively) at the beginning of the playoffs

in a single year, jonathan toews-

- won gold medal in the olympics

- won award for best forward at the olympics

- won stanley cup

- won conn smythe

at 22 years old. i mean, seriously.... think about that for a second. i imagine that has to be the best hardware year ever for a hockey player

Great move he made to get that shot off. Tough angle, great shot.

Gotta love the head fake and the shake and bake. He gave the Flyers defenseman a basketball move. And it worked. Leighton must have thought he was going to pass the puck or skate around the net. He seemed unprepared.

Do they display the cup at the winning team's area next year or anything? I would love to see it.

No each guy gets it for a day during the summer and then it goes back to the HHOF.

So people work their ass off and dream their whole lives to get to have a trophy for just a day? Sports are weird.

Seriously, it's all downhill from here. Unreal. Though I would be happier with him if he won the best forward and silver medal back in February.

I loved seeing Q's interview. Totally ecstatic by his standards.

i haven't read through this thread yet so i dont know if it's been mentioned, but did you guys see roenick crying after the game talking about how "it's chicago" and "i never got to do this"? it was pretty emotional.

Yep. It was a great moment.

They're popping the champagne. Kane's pretending to whack off.

he's probably not pretending

He's probably contemplating how he's going to help the team repeat. The life of a coach.

Yeah but it's an awesome one day. Especially for the dudes from the small towns in Canada. Or when Buff takes it to Roseau. Just a huge party, the whole town goes. I saw it in Eagle River, WI when Craig Ludwig had it for his day (when the Stars beat the Sabres on the [expletive] goal by Hull). Just amazing.

I love you too dexter.

Wow this is weird. :-))

:rotfl: :clapping:

Wow I had to rewatch that ending a few dozen or two dozen times. It was so bizarre. The Flyers were on the attack, I was scared. I can admit it. Kane throws one at Leighton, I thought it was caught, waiting for the faceoff. Blackhawks start randomly celebrating. lol whut? Oh [expletive] we [expletive] won!!!!!!!!! :yahoo:

Incidentally one of the Blackhawks assistant coaches was a head coach here in Fort Wayne for one year (JOHN TORCHETTI). The minor league hockey is huge here in the Fort so an ex-Komet coach being part of this just adds another layer of awesomeness to it.

"for that little kid i saw crying after we lost game 4 in 1992, you waited 18 years, but i hope you're happy"

"chicago blackhawks man. i didn't get to do that"

love roenick

This is so awesome. Congrats everyone. New fans, longtime fans. This is just so awesome.

I can't wait to get home and watch all of this, the game and the postgame and all of it, about a million times on the DVR.

Haha. Duncan Keith just said he doesn't care about his teeth and that he's just gonna have fun for a while. Definitely a hockey player.

when you win a championship, it transcends sports. i could never explain this feeling to someone who isn't a sports fan.

it's a cliche thing to say, but nobody can EVER take this away. every big goal this season, every big moment... it meant something.

they [expletive] did it
