I'll also take 1-1 after 2. The longer this game is tied or in the Hawks favor, it benefits the Hawks because the Sharks need this tons more than we do. They'll tighten up.

hate to say it, but im starting to think hossa really is a postseason choker.

Not yet. He's done way too much on the defensive end for me to say he's a choker.

Agreed, but he has to score there. He knew he only had a second to get off that shot and from that position that's a gimme, not a shot that requires puck control before shooting.

Did you see the replay? He pulled the puck out of Nabakov's pads too fast for himself to get it to the forehand, and by time it got to the backhand it was too late. His only sin was pulling the puck out of the goalie's pads too fast, and that's hardly unforgiveable.

Meh, it is what it is. We are one bad bounce away from a 2-1 series, which isn't near as fun as 2-0. Or we're one good bounce away from 3-0 and virtually writing our ticket to the conference final.

i think it's the opposite. we are clearly outplaying them, but the later it goes in the game, the more it becomes a crapshoot

Yeah but if it's a crapshoot, the worst case scenario is 2-1 series with another home game coming up. I'm not saying I will accept that, or that it's ok. But if that's the worst case scenario, the best thing I'll take out of this is that SJ has not been able to outplay us for more than a few minutes here or there all series, and it's been in situations where it requires their best play and it just hasn't been good enough to top the Hawks play.

On the Sharks end, if they lose this game, they are done. I don't care what Philly did to Boston they are done. If there's 5 minutes left in a tie game, who do you think is going to play tight and get away from their game plan and who is going to be more loose and sticking to what got them to this point tied.

Sharks outshooting us 23-21 again through 2. But the Hawks are winning the faceoffs 26-11 wow. I must only notice when we lose a draw because if you had asked me who was winning faceoffs I would have said SJ.

Play tough and dig the pucks out, and I think good things will happen in the 3rd.

Yeah I don't mind being in a crapshoot as dexter says, it's better to be in a close game than down 4-1, which in the back of my mind I thought was going to happen. I hate being a pessimist.

i'm so terrified

Me too.

it's because my hopes are now up. i wasn't scared during game 1, and i wasn't at all scared in game 2 until we had the 3-0 lead.

Wow, what a horrible start to the period.

The penalties are really flying in favor of the Sharks again this game, but this one was very obvious.

I just have been doing a great job keeping things in perspective. In the past I've said stuff about perspective but haven't lived up to it. I wasn't scared game 1 because I knew if we lost the goal was still a split. I wasn't nervous in game 2 because we already had the split. I wasn't too nervous tonight because the goal is now a split at home (by virtue of taking both road games).
