They went into this game talking about having a road type game plan and so far I haven't seen that at least offensively

Well, they were outplayed in the first period the first game and, I believe, for the first 10 minutes of the second game

 

Yeah they are doing fine controlling the game, I just see too many cross ice passes in the neutral zone instead of the dump ins that worked so well on the road.

 

most of the time they were doing that was when they were protecting a big lead

 

But that's also the kind of stuff they said they did on the road well that they wanted to do at home. Not taking a lot of risks, dumping it in, and taking their chances when they come. Don't allow any odd man breaks, etc. It's more conservative, but against a team like the Sharks it can work at times.

We're skating very well right now. You had to figure that San Jose was going to come into the game as the aggressor. We did a great job overcoming the first three minutes of the game and now the pace is starting to favor us again.

 

Good first twenty minutes, all things considered.

I agree, great first period. I will definitely take 0-0 after 1. I expected SJ to come out and give a dominant effort and really outplay us. They didn't and now I'm convinced we are going to win the series, even if they steal one tonight.
