I understand the penalty but why didn't the Canucks get one when they were shoving Toew's face into the ice at the end of a play?

 

because once the scrum starts they probably all could be called for something...so they just sent the player who went out of his way to instigate the whole thing

 

The play I'm talking about there wasn't really a scrum, it was just the Vancouver guy sitting on Toew's face.

To my not very trained eye he seems to make some good defensive plays but then makes some dumb players that a veteran shouldn't be making.
