Our defensemen are much more willing to do that then Slovakia's are. On the flip side though, I wish Buff had made this team. Just park him in front of Luongo. That needs to be Kesler, Brown and Ryan today.

this may be the unpopular opinion, but i thought nagasu had a better long program than rochette and rochette got the bronze because her mom died a few days ago.

i think nagasu is the favorite for the gold in sochi, though. she honestly skated flawlessly.

Yeah, they said that too, that the judges probably didn't feel so bad stiffing Nagasu, especially considering Rochette's situation, because this wasn't Nagasu's last rodeo.

I didn't realize the Hawks play on Long Island on Tuesday night and then right back at home on Wednesda. Keith, Seabrook, Toews and Kane are going to be exhausted by then.

the 1980 game against the russians is infinitely more important to american hockey than this game could ever be. while this canadian team is a team full of all-stars, that russian team made a habit of beating nhl teams and thrashed the canadian all-stars in the challenge cup in 1979.

 

they proceeded to parade the challenge cup around like the head of a conquered king until being humbled at lake placid. but really, there's no comparison between that russian team and this canadian team. that russian team would have beaten them to death with their own hockey trees.
