yeah, they can't really say stuff like that on the air, but honestly, he's completely ridiculous. people who act over-the-top flamboyant are silly, as are people at the gym who need to make a spectacle of how straight they are by making comments about every girl's rack and what he'd like to do to her.

he's doing it to get a rise out of everyone, and it's working.

Weir's Wikipedia says he refuses to confirm whether he's gay or not, as if anyone is still unsure.

in that case perhaps he should try to do things that will help him win rather than acting super-gay to get a rise out of people.

and the czechs blow a few easy chances.

upon further review, i don't understand international play, but is it legal for two guys to trip him with their sticks in front of the goal like that?

maybe it's legal to grab the puck in the crease, too?

shuster is such a dick

calls out his teammate repeatedly for a bad shot and then makes one himself

he also bitches after bad shots that the rock is jumping around on him. interesting that it seems to only happen to him.

The hockey game tonight is sort of like the Hawks-Wings series last year. It's the matchup I want to see, but I sort of know we're gonna lose. I hope Ryan Miller ate his Wheaties this morning.

What's the tiebreak for the last bye? Goal Differential?

I believe that's correct. I really haven't looked that closely at how the medal round works. How many teams advance and how many byes?

i'd rather lose this one than in the medal round.

we have an advantage because keith and seabrook have to take it easy on kane. haha

I am interested to see how that goes. Although nobody ever really hits Kane anyway, save for that goof from Columbus last week.

It says the top 4 get a bye, and the next 8 play each other to move to the quarters. If it is goal differential, we're in pretty good shape as long as we don't get slaughtered, and Finland wins.

But there are only 12 teams in the tournament. That's why I was confused. I see though. The other eight have to play to get into the QFs.

I think it's head to head, goal differential, goals scored, and ranking for the tiebreakers. Looks like if the US losses by 3 or less they can still get a bye with a Finland win in regulation. Of course I'm pulling for a US win in regulation to set up a Canada-Russia quarterfinal.
