Giants sign Huff

The Giants agreed to sign Aubrey Huff to a one-year $3MM deal, according to Dennis O'Donnell of CBS5 in San Francisco. The deal, O'Donnell says via e-mail, is pending a physical.

Don't really understand this move for them, they already have DeRosa, Uribe and Ishikawa to split time between 1B/3B. Unless they want to move DeRosa to the OF full time.

Especially if Huff and DeRosa can put up solid numbers, the Giants could be quickly becoming division favs, or at least Wild Card, and if it comes down to the playoffs,I dont think any team would want to face Cain and Lincecum in a 5 game series, or even a 7 game.

My brother who is a Giants fan and lives in teh bay area thinks DeRosa will end up being primarily a LFer. Yes I also snickered
