This one won't be settled as quickly as the Phillies/Yankees series, but let's get out our darts and take a shot.

How will Starlin Castro's career path go? For the purposes of comps I'm comparing him to MLB shortstops, since that's the position he currently plays. Also, since one is generally supposed to compare a player to guys of similar ethnicity (see every white NBA player compared to Steve Nash or Larry Bird), I will use mostly Latin American comps.

I went with above average starter. He made some nice plays against West Tenn on a terrible infield. I think it's hard to fluke your way into a good season at AA when you are 19.

I went with above average. I'd rather he surprise me by being elite than disappoint me by being above average. Trying to keep my expectations somewhat in check.

Wasn't Ronny Cedeno supposed to be the next Nomar?

Ronny Cedeno was supposed to be the next Davey Rosello until he suddenly started hitting when he got to AAA.

Next your going to say Rollie FIngers was a bad baseball name. Or Steve Trout. and yes that's the only time you;ll see those two names in the same paragraph.

I havent even seen him play yet, nor is there a lot of history for me to have a strong opinion on him. today i say below average. stat wise im luke warm on him, i know he had a good winter so that bumped him up to below average from omar infante expecations before that.

that is some hard hitting analysis

Well im glad you've added so much to the discussion. And im not about to blabber on some long winded analysis of some 19 year old with little data available and state with certainity his projectability. But if you can go right ahead.
