Yes. Or to put it another way, I wouldn't think you'd risk messing up multiple games just because you can't accept a dropoff in pitching for a single game.

 

I'm sure girardi will get away with it but to me this is clearly a mistake.

This Series reminds me of the 2003 NLCS. The Yankees (Cubs) take a 3 games to 1 lead over the Phillies (Marlins), then lose game 5 but return home only needing to win 1 game out of 2. We all know how 2003 ended; hopefully this will be a repeat.
