I wouldnt say making out like bandits, especially if we got Crawford. As for Upton, he is only 25 with tremendous upside, and whilen theyre getting some quality prospects, MB and Janks are both huge question marks.

 

Why do the White Sox trade Peavy away for a worse pitcher?

 

There have been specualtions of Z for Peavy sicne the Z trade talks started, so why not make it more intersting. With Thome gone, and Dye likely to folow, Burrell would be a nice fir as their DH.

I think the possibility of a trade like this ever coming to fruition is near zero, but I don't quite understand your assessment that every team but the Cubs make out like bandits.

 

How does adding Crawford and Peavy for a DH with a bad attitude, a declining pitcher, and two decent but not spectacular prospects somehow not benefit the Cubs?
