this is embarrassing.

another game completely flipped by horrible goaltending. we completely dominated them inb the first period, but 4 soft goals have completely taken the hawks legs away and are now getting outplayed by a garbage team that has gained confidence.

make a trade for a goalie by tomorrow or this is going to be a wasted season, period.

Man we're losing?

It seems like every game our goalies suck. Like there's not even a good or decent game mixed in. Just a bunch of horrible goaltending. What happened since the first half of the season??

Both our goalies hit cold streaks simultaneously.

early in the year huet was on one of his streaks where he's not bad, and niemi was playing great. now huet is on one of his lenghthy slides and niemi is back down to earth. seems like he was a product of small sample size. he's been hot garbage since they started trying to give him more playing time.

q looked completely disgusted when he pulled niemi early in the 2nd.

i have a feeling we're going to get a goalie, but not a very good one. maybe a stiff like turco or something, which still might be better than what we have.

i would take turco in a minute.

Shouldn't some of this be on the defense? I haven't watched much of the game tonight, but I find it hard to believe that our goalies are this bad night in and night out.

Tonight's was all goalies. These weren't 2-on-1s or bad giveaways, just perfectly ordinary shots that should have been saved going in.

the first 2 goals for NY were off TERRIBLE turnovers from seabrook and then johnsson

and i've said this before, but i don't like how this team packs it in when they go down multiple goals. with the high scoring offense we have, you'd think they'd be able to come back from 2 or 3 down pretty easily,. but they don't. they fold.

very concerning.

man, this game has contained all the annoying parts of the hawks this season. bad turnovers, horrible goaltending, and now a piece of [expletive] goalie standing on his head.

39 shots on roloson and only 2 goals? GTFO

Actually, on the contrary, they've shown repeatedly they can come back from almost any deficit.

yep they've shown they can.

they just don't do it very often, especially late in the game.

I know this is just gamethread whinging and shouldn't be taken seriously, but come on. The Blackhawks are the best comeback team in the conference, easily.

not game thread whining. i've said it before.

maybe early in the game not so much, but i'd like to see how many times this team has come back late in the game.

Of course, it's not this year's team, but last year in the playoffs they did it repeatedly.

How often do you think an ordinary team does it? Now compare that to the Blackhawks, who are behind a lot less often than most teams?

Not enough traffic. I havent watched the whole game but what I have watched it appears that the Hawks are not putting a lot of traffic in front.

Found it. The Blackhawks are third in the league in win percentage when trailing after two periods.

"A 6-13-1 record when trailing after two periods for a .300 winning percentage, better than anybody else other than Washington's 6-8-3 (.353) and Vancouver's 7-15-1 (.304). The game's never over until it's over."

If the league leaders have six or seven third period comeback wins, how many multiple-goal comebacks do you think the best teams have? Two or three?

The Blackhawks have at least one that I remember without even thinking that hard, so they can't be that far behind.
