Cashner implodes in the 4th - BB, single, RBI single, bunt foul out, RBI single, RBI single, strike out, ground out.

4 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 6 K.

:banghead: :banghead: WHY?????

meh it's not that bad of an outing. he struck out six and only gave up 11 batted balls in play and 5 of them turned into singles. plus his strike:ball ratio (46 strikes, 27 balls, or 1.70:1) wasn't too bad and he had 4 GO/2 AO. i mean, last outing people were saying he bounced back, but he gave up 4 walks in 5 innings, his strike rate was a little worse (1.67:1) and gave up 4 GO/9 FO - but only 2 out of 15 batted balls in play turned into hits. really these are just random variations; he was probably better tonight than last outing but just less lucky.

peoria off days make me sad... their offense is fantastic and they're 21-5 in their last 26 games.

They make me extra sad when I'm in town and they have an off day. I was planning on going to the game last night but they unfortunately didn't have a game scheduled. The trip to Big Al's however, did not disappoint.

What is the story on Chris Robinson? A catcher hitting .333 at triple A...I see by the stats that he doesn't have much power but still...I guess I worry that Soto will either eat or smoke himself out of the league

he was the return in that wonderful Neifi trade. Solid defensively, he probably isn't going to hit for that much. He's in a bit of a jam, as I expect the Cubs to keep Koyie and Clevenger/Castillo are in the upper levels, and let's not leave out Chirinos, who could be a late bloomer at the spot (although betting money is still against ...)
