Hey why the hell not, let's leave out Bradley and Soto too!

Aramis Ramirez and Milton Bradley were penciled into the Cubs lineup for Friday's start of a weekend series against the Pirates at Wrigley Field, but both were ailing and possible could be limited.

Ramirez, who has been missing since the weekend with soreness in his left shulder, reported with what manager Lou Piniella described as "a really, really bad cold." Bradley has tightness in his right hip, but was nonetheless written in as the No. 2 hitter.

Missing from the original lineup is catcher Geovany Soto, who hasn't hit well since returning from the disabled list a week ago. Koyie Hill was catching and Piniella said, "I'm going to play both of them for a while."

Koyie is fine with me....calls a much better game and is as good a hitter as Geo

Splitting time between Koyie and Geo is inexcusable.

I agree, Geo should only be used once or twice a week.....neither can hit so go with the defense

Hoping and praying the joke continues...

My brain can't posibly comprehend someone who thinks that Koyie and Geo are on the same level in terms of their bat

Sweep these guys and maybe I can salvage my interest for the season*

*Who am I kidding? I'll still watch with false hope even if they fall 10 games back because I'm trapped for life

I'm the same way. :beg:

Not when Geo couldn't hit a beach ball right now.

Sitting on the bench does not improve ones ability to hit a beach ball. He should be playing 5-6 out of every 7 games.

Especially against teams like the Pirates.

Will Ronny Cedeno get the same kind of ovation in his return to Wrigley as DeRosa and Woody?

I really hope he receives dead silence, save for one person screaming for him over-enthusiastically.

Who is Ronny Cedeno?

Ok, someone explain to me again why Fukudome isn't leading off?

Because Bradley and Soto are not playing and Fukudome actually has some power.
