Boy, it would be fabulous if Marshall or Grabow had been ready to go against Howard.

Yeah, why bother getting someone up after Marmol walks a guy and then hits one? That's just overkill, Lou. Stay frosty.

I swear Lou must take naps in the dugout sometimes. It's the only explanation.

Larry asked him what to do before Howard and Lou said "Leave him in" and shrugged his shoulders.

Yeah, having a lefty up (especially one with a nasty curve) against a strikeout machine would have been stupid. Lou don't roll like that, son.

This year has to be more frustrating than 2006

I still think 2004 was worst. At least this year we have the injury excuse.

This year has to be more frustrating than 2006

Not even close.

actually, it is.in 2006, we knew we had a crap team on our hands from the get go, but now, we have a high pay roll team that should be steamrolling their way to the top, and they cant hang.

what in the world happened to Marmol? Is it all mental? His velocity and movement are still there, just can't throw a strike to save his life.

Th best part is that the Cardinals and Rockies are both down vs. teams they have no business being down to, so a mildly competant Cubs team could pick up a game on both the division and the WC.

We're screwed.

Is there any reliever in baseball like Marmol. I never remember seeing a pitcher who is so unhittable and yet so amazingly wild. He's gotta be closing in on some BB by a relief pitcher record.
