That is unforgivable. Billy Williams must be throwing a shoe at the TV and saying "GET OUT OF MY FIELD!"

Lou drag his butt off the field

isn't it funny how some people just come out of the woodwork when the cubs lose? no posts during the washington series but the cubs lose a game to the phillies and oh look, they're back.

Isn't it just like the Cubs to get you believing again and then completely suck a dick like they have tonight?

I just had the feeling when Ibanez was up in the 1st that they weren't getting out of that inning unscathed.

Such is the game threads, and such is the reason why I rarely visit them anymore. They're full of sensationalism and hackeyness.

Wasn't it the Phils we came back from an 8 run deficit to change our whole season around a couple years ago?

Wasn't that last year? And weren't we already comfortably ahead in the division? I mean, to my knowledge, we've never actually beaten the Phillies (or the Diamondbacks), but that's apparently what happened.

I love the game of baseball, but the Cubs are definately starting to make me hate the sport. The superior pitcher going into the game gives up 9 runs, and a pitcher who should be pitching int he Mexican league is holding the Cubs to 1 run. These games make me hate baseball, sometimes.

Was it Philly in which Barrett made a really boneheaded play at the end of the game, and the winning run came in to score from 3rd?

I think I've forcibly evicted the other details from my mind.

on the espn boards there used to be white sox and cardinal fans who would only show up to make fun of the cubs when they were losing, but they hate the cubs, so i understand it. i guess i just don't understand the mentality of people who troll the team that they root for.

The Washington series shows nothing in any capacity. This series against a top team is quite different.

I'll be standing at attention patiently, awaiting the moment the Cubs impress you.

they could've won the world series last year and he would've said "well of course the cubs won, the rays had never even had a winning season before this year, and the cubs' payroll was three times as large."
