This is bizarre....and he almost pinch hit Dempster here if Miles had got on (hahahahahah), meaning that Wells would have been the emergency pitcher if the game had gone like 17 innings, meaning we'd be short a starter tomorrow.

I can understand why you don't bring in Fox here. He looked like he had never seen a sidearmer yesterday. It was one of the worst final swings ever.

 

Don't know why you wouldn't use Soto other than the thought that a right-hander struggles normally against a sidearmer..but even that's not really enough I don't think.

I know but what I'm saying is that he would have burned him from having a chance to pitch later in the game...which might be necessary if the game goes like 17 innings because Patton threw 2 innings yesterday and Gregg played yesterday too.
