Carrillo up to Daytona from extended spring training. Not sure of any corresponding roster moves as of yet.

By the way, those Daytona starters are from MiLB.com, but I don't think they know for sure after 4 consecutive rain outs.

Josh Vitters with another home run for peoria. Why is he not in Tenesee at least? Id say Daytona, but I have my doubts that they'll ever play another game.

Why in God's name would you want him in Tennessee?

Cause he is 19. I wouldn't be looking for a move until at least July. Selfishly of course I hope he is with us all season but I think it will be at least July 1 unless there is an injury at 3rd above us. Reynolds/Smith/Rosa are all playing 3rd above Vitters right now. Plus IMO, Harrison would be the first to move given that he is older and can play many positions and is hitting for a higher avg...

Vitters batted second and committed a throwing error.

It's a good thing they don't sell JAY JACKSON jerseys or else I would be getting way, way, way ahead of myself. Rather than just 2 ways which I am currently doing in imagining his solid 2010 rookie campaign. It could happen, right? Not the solid part cause that could be a bit much, but Jackson to Chicago either beginning or middle of next season? None of this bullpen crap either.

Jackson is quickly joining Vitters and Cashner as the only Cubs prospects I wouldnt trade for anything.

It is great to see Jackson adjusting to AA and they need to get Cashner to a team where he can pitch on a regular basis. Poor Daytona.

Why wouldn't you trade Cashner (if you could)?

Just have a good feeling about him. 1 of those things. I guess I shouldnt say I wouldnt trade for anything. If Peavy were on the table, obviosuly, but Im more thinking in terms of our middle infield situation. Aside from those 3, Id be willing to part with pretty much anyone else in a deal for a Blalock/Huff/Beltre type.

Well, no prospect should be exempt from trade considerations but I can't see any reason for valuing Cashner anywhere near as much as Vitters.

Even though I haven't seen Cashner, I would prob. put Lake, Castro, and Thomas ahead of him.

And Samardzija. I'll defer to you on Lake. I certainly prefer Castro and Thomas to Cashner as prospects.

Samardzija couldnt be traded anyway.

Samardzija too, but I was speaking as far as trade commod. and I doubt unless he feels like he'll never get a shot with the Cubs, he'll exercise that NTC.
