agreed, hoffpauir for fontenot, scales moves over to third and miles comes in at 2nd. i'd rather have hoffpauir bat for a badly slumping fontenot in a spot where he can tie the game than leading off the 9th with nobody on base.

I don't imagine we'll be seeing much more of Fontenot.

 

if the alternatives are ryan freel and aaron miles then you might as well just let fontenot work his way through his struggles. neither freel nor miles are going to hit much, and fontenot at least has shown in the past that he can hit.

I'm all for it. However, it is just a matter of him being overexposed with how many ABs he's getting?

it depends if durham hits. he didn't hit in 2007 and his defense is horrendous. he has to hit well to make up for his terrible fielding.
