2 starts each this week from Halladay and AJB. Maybe my pitching will finally get it together and I won't have to count on my bats to carry me for a week.

Damn you, Tim. Beat me to Rafael Soriano.

Funny part is that as soon as I did that, I saw that Soria went on the DL and that Cruz would be closing for two weeks.

Ok everyone, I'm willing to trade one of my OF (probably Hawpe or Granderson) and a prospect or two. I'm looking for a stud SP. Let me know if you'd be interested in a trade.

This has been the perfect series for me (Cubs/Pads).

Cubs about to sweep. Padres have scored 8 runs in 3 games. My only Padre, Adrian Gonzalez, is responsible for 6 of the 8 runs. 5-9, 4 HRs, 6 RBIs, 2 walks. 29 points in a 3-game series will work!

Definitely not my week. Only five pitching starts, losing one (Lohse) due to a rainout wiping out his start after the game began and losing another (Cook) because I was stupid and forgot to make him active. Not to mention negative 21.5 points from the Cubs' worthless obviously-soon-to-be-ex closer.

My stupidity actually worked to my advantage. Cook had a double-digit negative outing, so having him on my bench was good (although not nearly enough to salvage this week).

I finally benched Burell (bad neck) and replaced him with Zobrist. I dropped Coke because he is nearing 20 games and I wouldn't be able to stash him in my minors any longer.

BTW - What is the order of our next draft? The same as our preseason draft or will we use the waiver wire?

And then there was the sweetness of Armando Galarraga.

Unbelievable. Atlanta rained out and I don't get my 7th start.

And I am down 0.25.

Tim, that's 2 weeks in a row you've edged me out for highest point total.

I thought I had you edged out last week (I could have sworn I looked at it after all games had finished), yet it shows us having tied in week five.

If it screws me out of another top week, I'm going to...well...whine for a little while and then live with it.

wow...bizarre.

I just looked at the standings and now we didn't tie last week. Weird, but a happy weird for me, I guess.

I was very disappointed that I couldn't use the 1.5 Sean Marshall relief points against Shane. Somehow, I don't see that helping me make up over 60 points.

My only two-start pitcher of the week, and both starts were negative.

You seem to take an unnatural amount of delight from my discomfort. Just wait until next time. :starwars:

It's only fair, I got ripped out of a start!

You call a rainout being "ripped"!?:)

I have been in some real close games this season (outside of when I played Tim), even though I lost it was fun to almost come back. I thought I was totally out of it at one point. In fact I would have replaced Burrell earier, but I thought why bother. It turns out that could have won the game for me. Oh well, live and learn.
