So do the Cubs position their second baseman more towards first than other teams or is the range really just not very good? It seems a lot of balls similar to the last one get stopped by other teams.

So do the Cubs position their second baseman more towards first than other teams or is the range really just not very good? It seems a lot of balls similar to the last one get stopped by other teams.

 

They really do not like playing their second basemen up the middle.

 

Also, the inside corner seems to be pretty small today.

Yeah I know what you're saying. But Baker is LH, they might have been playing him to pull more. I imagine they play there for righties and obviously for double play scenarios.

CUBS are 10-8 when they don't allow any first inning runs.... 2-3 when they do

CUBS are 8-3 when they score first in the game.... 4-8 when they don't
