Looks like Marquez Smiths been bumped to Tenessee. I was looking around the Cubs minor league pages, and though still on the Daytona roster, you'll notice it has him listed as a Smokie with his stats 0d out.

ETA: Hes now officially on the Smokies roster.

Correct. Matt Camp has been promoted to AAA Iowa.

Which is probably a precurser to Bobby Scales being promoted to Chicago :(

Im glad Bobbys getting a shot after 10+ years in the minors, but Id be a lot happier for him if it were at Aaron Miles expense.

Where in the heck are you getting all of this Bobby Scales stuff? You've been posting recently like it's a given he's going to be called up.

"We've gone as far as we can without an extra infielder," said manager Lou Piniella. "It's decision time. If we have to do something, we'll bring up Scales. He's been in the Minor Leagues a long time, and it'll be a wonderful opportunity for him."

leverton got drilled (not surprising) and daytona is getting spanked. castro still can't hit A+ pitching.

nelson perez has a double and home run for peoria. kyler burke is also 2-2 with a double; vitters is 0-1 with a HBP.

I did notice that Colvin is in CF...is this his first game in the field, or have I just not been paying attention?

Does anyone know what's up with So Taguchi in Iowa? He hasn't appeared in a game for 2 weeks ( 4/16 )

Strained left calf, he's very close to returning to the lineup.

think of the trade possibilites if we had weiters and snider instead of vitters and colvin.

i'd rather just think of snider playing RF for no money instead of milton bradley for 10 mil.

RP A. Maestri 1.1 scoreless, 2 H, 1/1 K/BB, 1-2 GO-FO

RP J. Papelbon 2 scoreless, 2 H, 3-3 GO-FO

Now that's what I call a bullpen.
