3 BB for Kosuke tonight. It's somewhat hard to pinpoint what he has changed that he is having so much success. Looking at him bat it doesn't look he has really changed anything, his hands are in the same place and his stance is the same. He might not be bailing out as much as last year, I think it's more he has adjusted and gotten a little more used to MLB style pitching. Edited April 29, 2009 by Cubswin11

He might not be bailing out as much as last year, I think it's more he has adjusted and gotten a little more used to MLB style pitching.

 

It looks to me like he's staying on the ball a split second longer. He also doesn't seem to be getting killed with pitches on the outside corner like he was last year.

I don't think there are that many hitters in MLB that will have such patient ab's as Milton when they are in such a hitting slump. Most of the time guys are up there just swinging away when they are in a slump like Bradley. The other thing that is a little odd is that with all the pitches he has seen and patient ab's Bradley really hasn't squared up that many balls or hit them hard.
