But seriously. Why not try to get someone like Soto streaking and move him up for a day?

We already had this convo in the game thread. I said it there, so I'll just quote myself...

inexcusable

unfortunately though, this could be more than a one game thing.

FWIW: Career AWPS against RHPs, .710 Reed Johnson, .707 Ryan Theriot. I'm jes sayin'

Serious question: is Reed Johnson the worst cleanup hitter you can think of in the past ten years or so? I mean, I've seen teams decimated by injuries. The 2003 Reds had everyone injured and I think an .820 OPSing Sean Casey was their cleanup hitter. Even the Nationals, they don't bat Nook Logan 4th when he was on there. The more you repeat the worse it sounds, like some kind of mantra from the movie Fight Club: "Reed Johnson is our cleanup hitter. Reed Johnson is our cleanup hitter." This is the guy who's going to drive in all of those RBIs and make things happen on offense.

To keep a R-L-R or a L-R-L going and insert Reed Johnson as a cleanup hitter is beyond stupid. This is borderline Lenny Harris hitting leadoff stupid. Lou needs to wise up.
