All I know is Scales at 3B can't possibly be a worse situation than Fontenot at 3B and Miles at 2B.

Basically, our lineup is going to start to look a lot like this for the next week or so:

 

Soriano

Theriot

Fukudome

Bradley

Lee

Fontenot

Soto/Hill

Scales/Miles

 

Not 2006 bad, but not exactly steller. If Soto wants to step it up, this would be a good time.

From Lou and Hendry's quotes, it looks like they aren't ready to give up on their original plan for the roster but they are much closer to making a change then they were before.

According to The Score, Ramirez will be avoiding a DL stint. I guess Bobby Scales will be joining the rest of Cubs nation in hoping for an Aaron Miles injury.

Even with Aram avoiding the DL another infielder is needed. Tonight showed that. To me it seems like a no-brainer. Bye bye Gathright, bring Scales up or sign a free agent.
