I think Moore has done the big thing, he has rebuilt the farm system. I only wish they would have allowed him to make the pick in the '06 Draft. If he was the guy you wanted and had hired, why allow the guys you got rid of to make that pick? Just think where they would be with either Longoria or Lincecum. :banghead:

I saw the game recap and he just keeps pitching under the strike zone on 2 strikes and they just keep swinging at it. His pitches must have some nasty movement I gues

So is Greinke's scoreless inning streak still in tact because the run scored on him was unearned? Or do they consider that against the streak?

Streak ended. Unearned runs count against it.

K'd the first 2 batters tonight and his ERA is no longer 0.00...

Vernon Wells RBI single:

0.30 isn't a bad ERA, though.

If my pitcher can give me a line of 7IP 2R 2ER 2BB 8K, I'd say that's a solid day for him. From what I understood, the ump wasn't very good.

I'll say it's just ridiculous for a guy to have that kind of stuff and that kind of feel for pitching. Unfair.

VERY rare that you seen a guy who has a great slider AND a great curveball. His ability to throw both as strikeout pitches, while varying the speeds on each, is just sick.

And when you combine that with a 96-mph four-seam fastball that has great movement and a low 90s two-seamer with even better movement... well, that's a Hall of Fame type arsenal, IMHO.

Sounds like Kerry Wood circa 1998. We know how that story ended....

Kerry also had inconsistent mechanics and a bad arm angle.

If Bannister, Davies and Meche keep giving them good innings and they go to anyone else in their bullpen other than Farnsworth they'll have a good year defensively/pitchingwise

The hitting is still atrocious, however. Regardless, they could compete in the AL Central
