Call Kansas city and offer them Matt Garza for Wil Myers and another pitching prospect. Just tell them Matt used to be a Brave and they might throw in Eric Hosmer.

Where's Hosmer going to play? RF?

Firstbase, no one in their right mind would prefer Rizzo to Hosmer.

The Royals will not be trading us Wil Myers for Matt Garza or anyone else we have not named Starlin Castro.

I wouldn't be so sure, they know they need pitching and just signed Jeff Francouer. My guess is the move Myers at some point for pitching. Matt garza is about as good as there is available.

Myers, Montgomery/Dwyer, Bonifacio, and Melville ftw.

I want no part of Chris Dwyer. He's a reliever at best. Totally stalled out at AA. I'd still rather have John Lamb.

Agreed with that...I just threw him out there because I liked him in his draft year (curveball of doom, fastball, lefty).

Originally had this but I change my mind too often: Myers, Montgomery/Lamb, Bonifacio, and Dwyer/Melville.

That said in support of Dwyer...He did really well at AA last year and Lamb is still recovering from his TJ surgery.

Montgomgery has looked like a mess when I've seen him, but he's the kind of arm that some adjustments and a better pitching environment might do wonders for. Awesome physical attributes...maybe make a power Andy P. out of him (so steroids Andy).

They've been playing Myers at CF, not that I think there is any chance of him sticking there.

Why is that? I thought that's what he was supposed to be.

He'll probably end up at RF.

From what I've seen of him in right he's a heck of a hitter. Kind of like Ryan Braun.

Jake (The Friendly Confines): Rumors abound that Rizzo will pack his bags for the big club once he's 100% and the Cubbies return from their road trip. Do you believe he's ready?

J.J. Cooper: Yes I think he's ready. That doesn't mean he won't have any adjustment issues, but there's not much more he can get out of destroying the PCL.

JB (Iowa): Is Baez already a better hitter than Vitters?

J.J. Cooper: As in if you put both in the big leagues right now? No. I think Vitters would hit significantly better than Baez if you put them both in the big leagues. The difference in quality of competition from low A to Triple-A is massive. In low A, if a pitcher misses with his first two pitches, you can feel quite comfortable you're seeing a fastball. In Triple-A, you can't be sure. In low Class A, most pitchers are only capable of consistently locating to one side of the plate. In Triple-A, almost everyone can work armside and gloveside.
