What is that, 8 walks?

 

 

Last time the CUBS drew 8 walks in a game.... Sun 12 Apr 09 (10 walks) in an 6-4 win at Milwaukee

When was the last time the Cubs drew 8 walks in consecutive games?

 

April of 2008.....

A wet, windy, cold day at Wrigley with the Cubs winning is just about better than any day anywhere else.

what is fontenot doing? if helton wants to go on the other side of the bag, let him know that he's doing it at his own risk.

 

Was there some sort of opportunity for Fontenot to run him over? I think Helton wins that collision every time.

 

helton's not a huge guy, and he was in awkward position, leaning over with his back to the runner. fontenot hit the brakes before he got to the bag in order to avoid any kind of collision, so it cost us a baserunner and an out, probably.

Helton is a huge guy in comparison to Fontenot.
