Baseball is finally back at Wrigley!!! .....hopefully.

The Trib is speculating that baseball is unlikely tomorrow and a decision will be made early tomorrow morning. If this game gets postponed it will be played on Tuesday.

But lets cross our fingers and hope we get baseball in tomorrow!

Oh and....Ellis Burks homers to right field

WHERE ARE WE GOING FOR A BEER MISTER?

EDIT: Dammit I didn't even finish reading your post. How soon should we know? I don't want to be headed down there tomorrow just to get called back. :(

Has anyone heard anything as far as first pitch, national anthem, 7th inning stretch, etc.? It seems like we usually know further in advance for the opener.

A rain out tomorrow with a double header on Tuesday when I don't work would be fantastic.

The off day is Tuesday, so we'd just be making up the game the following day.

I just hope they postpone it early because otherwise I might not be able to go.

Could only get 1 day off from work and would happily work tomorrow if I knew for sure it would be rained out.

Might have 2 tickets for someone if this is the case.

Hopefully this thing either gets played or just postponed until tomorrow and not delayed for a couple hours. I'm going to be cutting it close as is due to work and would prefer to be able to watch the whole game live.

EDIT: Just noticed it was on WGN. I could probably go media blackout until I get home if necessary.

But hopefully we don't have to worry about that and they get it in.

Wow it's already raining hard here and Weather.com says 60% or better chance of RAIN and WIND all day with wind chills around freezing... not sure I even want to suffer through that.

This would be the worst opening day weather in 6 years.

If I take a day off work and I sit through a 3 hour miserable rain delay then it gets canceled I would go ballistic. Then I sat through that crap, missed opening day and wouldn't be able to go tomorrow.

They aren't making any decisions till closer to game time.

But I'd suspect it'll be postponed. They should be able to play the rest of the week, so no reason not to postpone till tomorrow.

I have either Rooftops or Seat Tickets to choose from. If the game is played and it's rainy I'm taking the rooftops and dumping my seats.

What are you guys gearing up in?

I got a T-shirt, thermal shirt, two sweatshirts, my Ramirez jersey and a poncho... of course this won't be enough. And I really don't want to weat my Cubs 1908 World Series leather jacket because of course it will get ruined inevitably.

Also, long underwear, wind pants, sweatpants, jeans... and 2 pairs of socks.

Couldn't have gone in and just switched the day off to tomorrow?

it looks like the worst of it will go through before the game starts. I have to believe they'll do their best to get the game in,but then again the Sox didn't. Hopefully the field is OK. My guess is that it gets postponed an hour and played today...but I'm a really optimistic person.

I have to work 1-9 tomorrow and 12-9 Wednesday, so if it gets delayed I won't see it at all.

Truffle, make it stop raining.

Oh, and Dante Bischette just hit one that landed on Kenmore.

Supposed to be crappy weather tomorrow as well... It would be my luck that I go into work and the game is played. I can get the day off tomorrow if I need, I just hate using my vacation days when I want to go on an extended vacation to Helsinki in October for the Blackhawks home opener.

The starter Monday -- for the first pitch -- is former Cub Rick Sutcliffe. Wayne Messmer will belt out the "National Anthem." America's biggest beer garden will come to life on what is expected to be a blustery, rain-chilled afternoon. Bring your Gore-Tex.
