I'm excited about Teddy's last 2 outings. Too bad we wasted what he did last night.

If there wasn't a gale blowing in you wouldn't have been so excited, me thinks.

 

I actually think pitchers use their environment when they can. I wouldn't be surprised at all if pitchers lay them in there a little more frequently on those days, knowing some guys will still swing for the fences.

Cubs taking walks.

LOTS of walks

Leading the league in walks.

We don't. Brewers, Dodgers, and have more. The Brewers and Dodgers also have played one more game than us though, but Cincy has one walk on us in the same number of games.

 

Who would have thought that one of Dusty's teams would be leading the league in walks per game while talking about hitters and not pitchers? Obviously an indicator of small sample size.

 

When I made that post a week ago the CUBS did lead the league in BB/Game played.

Not trying to sharp shoot you, but when you made that post, the Reds had the same number of games played and two more walks. But that's Dusty's team, so give him some time to punish his "hitters" for "walking" instead of "hitting."
