I really like this. I don't particularly take as much of an interest in reading the guys we just got rid of this offseason, but it's kind of cool to hear about guys like Scott Chiasson who are still floating around somewhere.

The way things are going, it looks like Pie will be in trouble come opening day. So sad he was once considered "untouchable" in the Cubs system.

Someone once said he could be the "Michael Jordan of baseball" if i remember correctly.

 

Too bad it looks like they meant that quite literally.

Corey Patterson and Felix Pie both proved that you need more the "raw potential" and "athleticism" to play MLB baseball, you need...ahem...actually baseball skills.

And while we're on the "where are they now" subject: Australian pitcher Chris Mowday (remember him from 2004 in Daytona?) will play for RCH of the Dutch league in 2009.
