Nice outing for Dempster I don't see any reason not to expect a similar year to last year form him. Maybe a era .3-.5 points higher, but I think he will be solid again.

Probably just depends on the number of pitches. Verlander threw 6 yesterday for Detroit, but it was only 67 pitches.

Gaudin crapped the bed again today as well, giving up 2 runs, walking 1, striking out nobody in an inning of work.

 

Vizcaino gave up a solo HR but also K'd the side in his inning.

I wonder if Gaudin is hurt? With the performance of the MR guys this spring it looks like there is going to be a revolving door all season for the last 2 bullpen spots, as nobody seems to be stepping up and taking the 6/7 inning roles.
