I havnt even heard the name all off season, ad Im surprised nobodys really considering him. I know the guys a stones throw away from 40, but he would have been a great right handed platoon partner for Fontenot. He still puts up respectable offensive numbers, and hed probably come at a similar price as Aaron Miles did.

I know it's doubtful at this point that any more moves will be made, but its still an interesting thought.

So then you think that Miles has respectable numbers too, right?

Last year was the only season Miles has matched Grudz production. In previous years he wasn't really close.

Man, the hate for Miles is ridiculous. Grudz is a one-position player who is past his prime. Comparing DeRosa to Grudz and/or Miles is absurd since DeRosa is a starter and the other two are reserve infielders.

If Grudz is past his prime then why haven't his numbers dropped off?

I'd take Grudz or Nomar over Miles/Koskie in a heart beat.

Not sure why you'd include Koskie in there. His is a minor league deal. It's a low risk move that could pan out.

We could have used that minor league deal to buy 10 maple bats.

I just hope anyone we pick up surprises all of us

I guess that I should have specified that he's past his prime defensively and can only back up 2B. Offensively, Grudz and Durham can still do okay.
