Milton Bradley (sorry I'm late - sister's birthday).

looks like we'll both be hoping oft-injured Cubs stay in one piece this year.

yea, he is such an offensive weapon when healthy that I figure its worth the risk - especially coming the to NL and a park that will probably allow him to maintain his power. we'll see.

ha - let's all bitch at Adam for taking so long!

What the hell, Adam.

what a dick - what is he sleeping?

There's no such thing as a late round sleeper in a keeper league this size.

Damn it, Bradley's gone too? So much for my list of "late round sleepers".

late round sleeper? He led the AL in OPS last year!

Shane took Cliff Lee in the 13th round last year . . .

Or one where the 160 or so of the most valuable players are already on teams at the beginning of the draft.

Around where Adam took Dempster, too.

I've got a list of guys I'm targeting in the 8th round or later. But I wouldn't be surprised if they're all off the board by then, too.

will there be anybody left by the 8th round? Hard to slip guys by in this league. this makes the draft fun though - the question of whether to wait on a sleeper or jump. I just spent some time looking at sleepers - there are a few out there I wouldn't mind taking late.

I forget, is this one of the years where Kelvim Escobar will be among the league leaders or on the injured list all year?

I'll try to sneak a peak in here tomorrow morning around 6:30 am PT, otherwise I won't pick till 8:30 am.

My time availability to be online today will be EXTREMELY limited. Wednesday is my busiest day of the week (I teach classes during the morning, afternoon, and evening, plus I also have a meeting today). I'll be able to check in occasionally, and if it gets to the point where I'm third or fourth in line I'll probably queue a few players and set it to autodraft if the draft room has been fixed. Otherwise there may be a delay before I pick (if it even gets to me today).

Well yeah, but for some reason most major draft sites weren't really high on him, and he wasn't anywhere near the top in CBS projections (neither of which really mean anything). Injury concerns, attitude concerns, blah blah...

Of course, he is a Cub now, and I like what he's saying so far. Good pick, imo.
