Sosa had a 203 OPS+ in 2001

I forgot how ridiculous some of his seasons were

I know its sad I'm quoting myself but I also just noticed that Bonds had 6 seasons higher than that including a 269

Yeah, they both had some exceptional putting needles in their ass skills.

Well, yeah, one generally leads to the other though.

Bonds and Sosa were naturally good at hitting the ball. What a lot of people fail to realize is that steroids don't help you hit the ball. They just help you hit it FARTHER.

more importantly for Bonds, they help you heal more quickly. His knees would have disintegrated a few years earlier without the clear

you really have no way of knowing that whatsoever

Judging from how he had knee injuries in the couple years leading up to his explosion I think it's a safe assumption.

bonds's first knee injury was in 1999, which, according to Game of Shadows, was the year (or year before, i can't remember) he first used steroids. he also had a nasty elbow injury that year, but that didn't have anything to do with steroids, IIRC.

unless you want to count a sprained knee in college or something.

I think pro athletes should be forced to use steroids. I think we as fans deserve the greatest athletes science can create. Let's go! Anything that will make you run faster, jump higher. I have high definition TV, I want my athletes like my video games, let's go! I could care less if you die at 40, you hate life after sports anyway I'm doing you a favor.

And see the pitch better and swing later.
